Hoya x 'Mathilde'
Hoya x 'Mathilde' (H. carnosa x H. serpens)
A hyrbid of Hoya carnosa and Hoya serpens, this cross displays the admirable traits of the highly desirable H. serpens, but has all the resiliency of a hybrid, with none of the temperamental attitude of the H. serpens. The flower is a true mix of the two as well, looking nearly identical to the H. carnosa flower, but with the characteristic sickly green tinge of the H. serpens flower.
Like most Hoya, this species enjoys very bright indirect, to direct sunlight exposure. Watering should only be considered once the medium is completely dry and the leaves begin to feel soft. Hoya x 'Mathilde' enjoys a chunky, well draining mix and would appreciate any extra humidity offered.
May not ever need to be repotted. If you repot we recommend that you never go above 6".
