Native to Columbia and Ecuador, Anthurium andraeanum is a hemi-epiphyte that is known worldwide for it's colorful spathe (also called a bract -since the actual flower, the spadix is the small tube-shaped growth coming from the center). Able to flower all year round given the conditions are suitible.

Anthurium andraeanum enjoys bright indirect to brief partial direct sun exposure, a chunky, well-draining potting mix, moderate to high temps, and appreciates higher humidity levels. Likes to dry out in-between waterings.

May need to be repotted yearly.

Toxic to pets and people.
