Euphorbia horrida 3" & 4.5"
Native to South Africa, Euphorbia horrida strikingly resembles the true cacti of the Americas, and is a great example of convergent evolution. Often called the "African Milk Barrel' due to the toxic white latex-like sap the plant secretes when damaged, like all other members of the Euphorbia genus. The Latin epithet "horrida" refers to it's many spines.
Euphorbia horrida enjoys very bright indirect light to direct sunlight, a gritty well-draining soil, moderate to high temps, and infrequent waterings. Prone to rot and overwatering.
Recently potted in arid cactus mix, so roots are establishing. We recommend waiting until spring or summer to repot.
3" & 4.5" nursery pots available.
