Cereus peruvianus is a large columnar cactus native to South America. Able to grow 30+ feet tall unsupported, it has been reported that if supported by scaffolding it can reach heights of 110 feet - in the case of a specimen at SDM College of Dental Sciences at Dharwad, Karnataka, India, Blooms large showy white flowers that last only for a single night.
Cereus peruvianus enjoys full direct sunlight, a gritty, well-draining potting mix, moderate to high temps, and has no humidity desires. Likes to dry thoroughly in-between waterings.
May need to be repotted yearly.
Toxic to pets.
