Rhipsalis baccifera 6" Hanging Basket
Native to Central and South America, the Caribbean, and Florida, Rhipsalis baccifera is a pendant epiphytic jungle cactus, with long dangling phylloclades that are able to get several feet long - eventually resembling a curtain. It is the only cactus that is found in Africa, and it is thought to be due to migratory birds, since the berries are an easy snack.
Rhipsalis baccifera enjoys bright indirect to partial direct sun exposure, a chunky, well-draining potting mix, moderate to high temps, and would benefit from higher humidity levels although not required. Likes to dry out in-between waterings.
May need to be repotted every 2-3 years.
Toxic to pets.
6" hanging baskets available.
