Syngonium chiapense 'Ice Frost' 4"
Syngonium chiapense is native to Mexico, and has been found in Guatemala as well. This cultivar sports beautifully frosted veins and a silver/glaucous appearance. Often confused with Syngonium macrophyllum, S. macrophyllum seems to be less common, and most of the plants in cultivation with these glaucous immature leaves are S. chiapense. Giving this sp. a support to climb will result in much larger foliage.
Syngonium chiapense 'Ice Frost' enjoys a chunky, well-draining soil mix, bright indirect to brief filtered direct sun, temps between 60-80 F, and would appreciate higher humidity.
Grow lights may be required in winter months. May need to be repotted every 1-2 years.
Plant is toxic to pets.
